Asus Smartwatch Release Date, Specs, Price And Rumors: Asus Upcoming Smartwatch Rumored To Have A Curved Display And Get Launched At The IFA This Year

We have the latest for you on the release date, specs, price and rumors of the Asus smartwatch. There have been many companies that have come up to invest in the manufacture of smartwatches and the most recent is the Asus smartwatch which reports say will be called ZenWatch. Asus will be the most recent to announce its smartwatch after Samsung, LG and Apple all announced their smartwatches.  The name is clearly adapted from Asus ZenFone line of Smartphones. Details for now are scarce though there have been rumours that the smartwatch will come with a curved display. The watch is also expected to run on Google wearable operating system. The ZenWatch is expected to be launched at the International Franchise Association (IFA) 2014 on 3^rd September 2014.

It is believed that the ZenWatch will retail at between $99 and $149 unlike many other smartwatches which retail at around $300. Clearly you expect more sales of the ZenWatch to be made due to the cheaper price though it will also depend on the features of the ZenWatch in comparison to the rest of the smartwatches in the market. It has been revealed that the watch will have an AMOLED display and that its specification will be very close to LG's G watch and the Samsung Galaxy wear.

It sure seems that September will be a very busy month with Motorola also planning to launch their new Moto X+1 and G Smartphones. They will also be looking to announce the release date to their much hyped Moto 360 smartwatch which is something that ASUS should really look out for. The smartwatch market is certainly getting competitive and ASUS are hoping that they can make it through the current with the existing smartwatches from LG, Samsung and Apple having already received great reception in the market. We just have to wait and see how well the ZenWatch is going to fair in the kind of market it will find itself in and if anything is to go by, the rumoured price of the ZenWatch between $99 and $149, if true, should be able to have the ZenWatch penetrate with much more ease compared to other smartwatches.
