It has been eight years since we have last saw Avatar creating a blockbuster sensation in theatres around the world. As of now, we are very glad that its director James Cameron is finally making good on his promise of making a sequel. Yes, there will be an Avatar 2 that is soon to take us again in another realm.

Fans around the world are all over the internet trying to find out every other piece of information there is aside from the fact that it is going to happen. Well, to save you all the trouble, here is what you need to know about this film. Guardians of the Galaxy Zoe Saldana have been kind enough to give us hints on its upcoming plot.

According to her, it isn't just Avatar 2 that is going to be filmed sometime this year but even an upcoming sequel of the sequel. Yes, Avatar 3 will most likely be in the works as well. According to Saldana, the plot would be a spiritual journey. Unlike other filming which had to be postponed when a star gets pregnant, on this one, we were told that Saldana can get as big as a house and it won't be affecting the filming. Admittedly though, there will be some limitations doing physical stunt that can be worked through eventually.

According to the star, the filming will most likely take eight to nine months to wrap up. First parts of the shooting will be done in Los Angeles, making it easier for the very pregnant mama.

Avatar 2 is reported to hit theatres by December 2016 with its third and fourth installment in the next two years after.
