Indiana Jones 5 Release date, Cast, News and Updates: Chris Pratt rumored to play Indiana Jones 

Indiana Jones has captivated fans for 30 years now and it seems like the legend might grace the silver screen once again for another memorable adventure.

Rumors and Speculations on the 5^th installment of the franchise have been running all over the internet and all have pointed to a reboot for the franchise. Actor Harrison Ford made it into fame in Star Wars back in 1977 playing the space outlaw Han Solo. He then got the role of Indiana Jones for the 1981 film, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and since then made cinematic history. The 72-year old actor might not return as the adventurous archeologist, and might give the role to someone younger and capable.

Rumors have begun to circulate that Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt and Bradley Cooper are being considered to play the iconic role. Chris Pratt has proven himself that he is not only a good comedian, but he can be an action star as well when he portrayed Guardians of the Galaxy hero Star Lord a.k.a. Peter Quill. This might be a rumor that has a lot of weight into it considering that Harrison Ford originally got the role of Indy after he portrayed Han Solo in Star Wars. Bradley Cooper is a young and dynamic actor which he has proven that acting is truly a great passion of his being nominated for 2 Academy Awards. There have also been whispers on the net that Twilight star Robert Pattinson is also in the running for the role. But of course, fans of the franchise are hoping that this remains just a rumor.

The last film in the franchise, The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, was received with mixed reactions from longtime fans as well as with critics, citing that the spirit of the franchise has been lost. A reboot might give a rebirth to the franchise and give the next generation their own Indiana Jones.
