for KING & COUNTRY Performs at the 2013 Harvest Crusade
Last month, the popular duo from down under performed at the 24th annual Harvest Crusade at Angel's Stadium in Anaheim, California in front of nearly 35,000 people. In a press release, Joel Smallbone talked about the impact that the event had on the brothers, saying, "Occasionally there comes a moment where the hours of writing, recording, rehearsing, touring, praying and dreaming all collide into a profound crescendo. Saturday night, as we stood alongside Greg Laurie and 34,000+ friends and shouted 'Let my life be the proof of Your love,' was without a doubt one of those rare, spiritual and profound moments."
The crowd response was overwhelming and certainly cemented the duo's appeal with Harvest Ministries. John Collins, the Executive Director, said, "For King and Country was a great addition to the Harvest Crusade this year. Their performance was electric and had universal appeal. We've had nothing but great comments about the quality of their music and the content of the message."
The concert came on the heels of for KING & COUNTRY getting seven nominations in the 44th annual Dove Awards, which will be held on October 15, 2013 in Nashville, TN after spending the last couple of years in Atlanta. Their nods include:
- Song of the Year - "The Proof of Your Love"
