The Samsung Galaxy S5 release date was early this year and a lot of people have already tried and tested its features. The iPhone 6 release date however will be in September 9 this year. The comparison will be based on the already proven capabilities of the Galaxy S5 against the rumored and yet to be proven capabilities of the iPhone6.

Apple iPhone 6 vs Samsung Galaxy S5: Size and Design

According to gsmarena, the S5 has an approximate height of 5.5 inches or 142 mm. The iPhone is rumored to come out in two sizes - a 4.7 inch for the regular iPhone and a 5.5 inch for the phablet type.

In terms of thickness, the Samsung S5 has an approximate thickness of 8mm. The Know Your Mobile site posted the report that several Chinese sources have been posting videos and pictures of supposed iPhone 6 whose thickness is around 6mm. In thickness, the iPhone 6 is thinner than the S5. Whether a user would prefer a thin or a thick smartphone is a matter of personal choice.

Storage for the iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S5

The Galaxy S5 has an internal storage of either 16 or 32 GB. S5 has a slot for a micro SD Card of up to 128 GB.

The iPhone 6 will probably have the same internal storage as its predecessors which are 16, 34 and 62 GB. However, it is highly doubtful that Apple will ever include a micro SD card support in the iPhone 6.

There are still plenty of comparisons that can be made between the iPhone 6 and S5 but user will have to wait for the September 9 release of the iPhone 6.
