Halo 5 Guardians: Halo 5 Exclusively For Xbox One and will be using the full ecosystem offered by Xbox One
Halo 5 Guardians release date is December 31, 2015, and if pre-ordered now at $59.99, will also come with a $10 Xbox gift card digital code, according to Microsoft, the game's publisher. The Halo 5 beta launching will be on December 29 and it will be played out in the next three weeks until January 18 the following year.
Halo 5 Guardians is a first-person shooter game project in the Halo universe which is being developed by 343 Industries. Halo 5 was officially announced on May 16, 2014, by 343 Industries general manager Bonnie Ross. During the June 29, 2014 Electronic Entertainment Expo, a Halo 5 trailer was unveiled. In it, the Halo 5 Arbiter narrates the teaser lines for the upcoming installment in the Halo franchise series. Other than with the main characters, Halo 5: Guardians is expected to come with a brand new storyline.
The Halo 5 gameplay environment will be much bigger than those in previous Halo releases and it will be using the full ecosystem offered by Xbox One. According to 343 Industries' video presentation during the 2014 Gamescom, "the Halo 5: Guardians beta will highlight tight 4 versus 4 gameplay in 3 different game modes on 7 small, arena-based maps. All players will start matches out with similar loadouts, ensuring a competitive and fair gameplay experience. Players will get access to 11 sandbox weapons, 7 armor sets, and can look forward to some beta unlocks carrying over to the final game."
There will be no Halo 5 Xbox 360, and likely neither a Halo 5 PC release either. According to 343 Industries and Microsoft, Halo 5 is a game that is built from the ground up for Xbox One, exclusively.
