George Clooney Getting Married in a Couple of Weeks; Marriage to be held in Venice 

During his acceptance speech for a humanitarian award yesterday in Florence, George Clooney just couldn't help but reveal the happy news that he is getting married to fiancée Amal Alamuddin in Venice in a couple of weeks.

"I met my lovely bride to be here in Italy, whom I will be marrying, in a couple of weeks, in Venice, of all places," he said during his acceptance speech. The specificity of where and when the wedding will take place has not been revealed, but they have already taken their marriage license back in London.

The two met back in September 2013, and got engaged in April of this year. Alamuddin is 36-years old and is an international law attorney dealing with human rights under the Doughty Street Chambers law firm. The 53-year old Oscar winning actor has a long history with relationships; having been in relationships with the likes of Kelly Preston, Lisa Snowdon, Sarah Larson, Elisabetta Canalis, Renee Zellweger, Krista Allen and Stacy Keibler.

Clooney received the inaugural Andrea Bocelli Humanitarian Award along with fellow recipients Reba McEntire and Lionel Richie. The black-tie event was held in support of the Andrea Bocelli Foundation and The Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center and took place at the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy. The couple was spotted to be sitting with Bocelli and his wife, Veronica Berti, and along with Jimmy Walker, the founder of The Muhhamad Ali Parkinson Center.

The event also marked Clooney's first red carpet appearance since travelling to Duke University, then to a hospital in Dusseldorf, Germany for a treatment for a back injury that he suffered during filming a violent scene in Syriana.
