"Let it go, Let it go, Can't hold it back anymore.."
It seems that fans shouldn't let go of Frozen for a while. Walt Disney Animation Studios announced that a new animated short film entitled "Frozen Fever" is going to hit the big screen in 2015. According to Disney Insider, fans can welcome back Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and our favorite, Olaf.
The film is going to be directed by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck. It is going to be produced by Peter Del Vecho. The film is going to feature an all-new original song by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. The "power couple" also wrote the song "Let It Go." The duo won the Academy Awards for Original Song. The title of the new song is of course, "Frozen Fever." The film "Frozen" also won the as the best animated feature. The movie also holds the record for "best-selling Blu-ray in the history of filmmaking" and has a total earnings of 1.274 billion worldwide. Not bad for an animated film. This does not include the earnings made from toys, music, novelty items and other merchandize.
The announcement was made during the airing of the television special "The Story of Frozen: Making an Animated Classic." The special was aired at ABC Television.
The plot of the short film "Frozen Fever" will revolve around Anna's birthday. Elsa and Kristoff both want Anna to have the best birthday celebration ever. The twist in the story lies in Elsa's power who might put everything at risk.
There was no announcement made if actresses Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell and actors Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad will return as the voice of the characters in the upcoming short film "Frozen Fever." It is set for release in spring 2015. Fans can buy the new sing-along version of Frozen this coming November while waiting for the short film next year.
