Sony Xperia Z3 Unveiled: Release Date: Expect it Soon.

Unveiled on September 3, the upgrade to Sony Xperia Z2 is eagerly awaited but there are several things that hang in the balance. Since Samsung Galaxy S5's and HTC One M8's only serious contender is offering only marginal improvements on Xperia Z2, launched a few months ago, what makes it so special? The Japanese electronics heavyweight insists on 2 releases a year, so there's nothing to do but wait and watch. Though nothing has been said about Z3's software package, the phone's UI could be Sony's best differentiator between the Z2 and Z3.

Xperia Z3's Design:

You can expect the design to be similar to its predecessor, with identical display screen and cameras. However, leaked pictures feature the phone as having a slightly rounded finish. This will give it a more ergonomic hand fit.

Xperia Z3's Features:

The one upgrade is a slight addition to its power, and a marginally faster processor. While LG G3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 are switching to bigger displays and better resolutions, the Z3 is set to have the same 5.15-inch, 1080p Full HD panel.

Another minor upgrade is a 2.4 GHz Snapdragon 801 CPU over Z2's 2.3 GHz chipset. And while the rear camera will remain the same as on the Z2, selfie crazies might have the 5-megapixel front camera found on the Xperia C3, against Z2's 2.2-megapixel front offering.

Xperia Z3's Specifications:

Though the handset will be smaller, with a 4.6-inch form factor, there are indications that the Z3 Compact will have the same dimensions as its big brother bringing another question to the need for Z3. The Z3 is claimed to be even svelter than the Z2, with a thickness of just 7.35, on par with the smartphone Atkins. TENAA documents show a mass of 158.4g, down from Z2's 163g.

The Release Date:

We have seen Sony's release patterns, and it appears that Xperia Z3 will be released within a month of the unveiling. The handset will come into the market during one of the year's most competitive launch periods. Adding more stimulation to the phone's release date is the belief of some observers that Z3 will have to share the launch pad with the more exciting Sony Xperia Z3 Compact.
