ABC's Modern Family Season 6 Release Date, News and Updates: EW Shares New Cast Photo for Upcoming Season 

Entertainment Weekly shared this new cast photo for ABC's Modern Family Season 6, and it looks like the Dunphys and the Pritchetts are in some fiery trouble this season.

Season 6 kicks off with its premiere episode titled "The Long Honeymoon" and will be about Cameron and Mitchel's (played by Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, respectively) trip to Mexico. The newlywed couple soon finds out however that the honeymoon phase of their marriage can only go for so long and that forces Mitch to try and convince Cam, who seems as though he never wants to leave, that they need to go back home. Meanwhile, Alex (played by Ariel Winter) returns home from her humanitarian trip over the summer and quickly finds out that there have been shifts in the moods of the people of the Dunphy house.

ABC has also revealed the titles for the next two episodes which are "Do Not Push" and "The Cold," neither of which have been given their synopsis.

This season also brings new faces to the show, with the announcement of Kristen Johnston, from the show 'The Exes,' appearing to guest star in which she will play Mitch's colleague in their law firm, and will meet Cam in which he will try to console her through a tough time. Other actors who have been previously been reported to make guest appearances includes Steve Zahn, who will play the Dunphy's new next door neighbors, Tyne Daly, who will play Mrs. Plank Lily's stern teacher, and Andrea Anders who will play Ronnie's wife.

Modern Family Season 6 Premieres on September 24 at 9pm on ABC.
