It was unveiled alongside the new iPhones. The Apple watch is expected to be released during the first three months of 2015. Base Price of the new watch will start at $349.

Rumor has it that this new watch has 10 sensors taking the users health measurements and other data. Apple is planning to create the watch in multi-screen styles and sizes that is according to last week's Wall Street journal.

When it comes to smart watches there is a lot of competition from major electronics companies. Sony, Samsung, Qualcomm and others have already released their smartwatches to the public. The primary function of these devices is to be a companion to the smartphone with the ability to read emails with clock function and other basic roles. Samsung took their gear to the next level as the new Gear 2 line released this year has fitness related apps and has a heart rate sensor.

There are speculations that apple's new operating system, iOS 8 could be used in the Apple watch because it will include tools for managing health. The new operating system is set to appear in the new iPhones that is iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Rumor says that the new Apple watch not only checks on the heart rate but also on burnt calories, it can also count steps and helps check sleeping patterns.

The Apple watch may come in two sizes -1.3 and 1.5 inch display that is according to analyst, Ming-chi Kuo. Others say it will be available in three sizes that is, 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5 inches. There still others who claim it will have a 2.5 inch display when in diagonal position. There are speculations that the display will be sapphire-covered AMOLED, making it a good fit to the wrist.

The Apple watch battery is estimated to support wireless charging and have a cell between 200 and 250mAh.  A Barclay's analyst suggested a UV sensor may be included.

Since the death of co-founder Steve Jobs, Apple company is still fighting to prove it can still come up with new exciting products, the Apple watch is prove to that hypothesis.
