Larry Stephenson Band Goes Gospel with "Pull Your Savior In"
The Larry Stephenson Band has gone all Gospel with the release of their new album "Pull Your Savior In." The disc comes Oct. 21 on Whysper Dream Music. The title cut and the featured new single "Pull Your Savior In" was written by Stephenson. The band has also released a special featured track, "Amazing Grace" that features special guests Jimmy Fortune, David Parmley and Dale Perry.
The album was recorded at The Rec Room in Nashville this past summer and produced by Ben Surratt and Stephenson. The release features the five-string banjo talents of Kenny Ingram. "This is only our fifth all gospel CD, but gospel songs have always been a big part of our stage show. I hope you will enjoy the album as much as we did recording it," said Stephenson.
Larry Stephenson is highly regarded as one of bluegrass music's finest high lead and tenor vocalist and has been headlining concerts and festivals for 25 years. He has received numerous awards and recognitions during his impressive career including the 2010 IBMA Recorded Event of the Year Award for his album, GIVE THIS MESSAGE TO YOUR HEART - 20TH ANNIVERSARY. Larry is a 5-time winner of the Contemporary Male Vocalist of the Year Award from the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music. He can also be heard singing baritone on Donna Ulisse's 2014 IBMA Gospel Recorded Performance of the Year Award Nominated song, "Wait A Little Longer Please Jesus."
