Don't Mess with Texas Movie Release Date, Reveals, News and Spoilers: Reese Witherspoon to Play FBI agent
There are precious few female directors in Hollywood and so Anne Fletcher is a breath of fresh air. She has an impressive CV, although there are only four feature films on it, they are films that were hits in their time. The films in question are Step Up, 27 Dresses, The Proposal and Guilt Trip. So you see why we take this lady very seriously. May 8th 2015 is the day her fifth feature film shall be released. Anne is not only directing but editing the film. Don't Mess with Texas is Distributed by Warner Bro. Pictures for Pacific Standard, MGM and New Line Cinema
The flick has a simple and clear plot; a police officer goes on a run in Texas with the wife if a drug dealer as her prisoner. We can only speculate what will happen on this run. If majority of the movie will be shot in the car like identity thief is a possibility and if that is the case then the chemistry between the two has to be good not to mention comedic timing. Even though the movie clearly has the name of the Lone Star State in it, it was shot in a number of places including New Orleans which is good for the Katrina ravaged city. Much like Detroit which has fallen on hard times, New Orleans is attracting more and more movies which will give its economy the much needed boost they need to rebuild. Other movies shooting in New Orleans include Jurassic World and the Sci-fi Thriller Selfless both of which are coming out in 2015.
he cast is nice and small so the director should have an easy time. In addition to being one of the producers Reese Witherspoon shall be playing the FBI agent while Sofia Vergara shall be playing her prisoner. Other people confirmed on the cast are David Oyelowo whom we all remember from his outstanding performance in The Butler and Evaluna Mantaner. The people joining Miss Witherspoon in the Producer chairs are Dana Fox and Bruna Papandrea.
