We have the latest for you on the trailer, cast, plot and premiere of Dolphin Tale 2. Dolphin Tale 2 premiers in the theatres today, three years after the first film became a surprise hit. Just like the previous one, the new film follows the story of Winter, the dolphin that unfortunately had its tail amputated and now lives at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Nathan Gamble returns as Sawyer, the boy who found the dolphin caught in a crab trap.

10 News had an interview with Nathan Gamble and Winters's real life trainer and they sought to know if Winter recognized Gamble after the long break. Gamble is quoted saying  "I like to say that she does. There was this one moment on set for the second one where I was just hanging around Winter, petting her with her trainer Abby, and I did this thing where I tilted my head to the right and said, 'Hey Winter. How's it going?' And she bubbled at the surface and sank to the bottom." Gamble said that was a trait Winter learned from the inaugural movie. He continues and says "So that means she remembers it from the first one. She hasn't done that since the first one--that's three years in between. So that's pretty wild. That just shows how intelligent Winter is."

Abby Stone,  Winters trainer also had these kind words to say. "They have great memories and they do develop connections and relationships with people. And they spend a great deal of time with our animals getting to know them and building their own relationships. So when you see them on camera you're seeing a true interaction."

sfgate.com  reports that other characters from the previous film are awkwardly forced into the plot. The trailer has been online for some time now giving fans a sneak peek on what to expect from the upcoming movie. Rufus the Pelican gets more screen time and plot relevance than characters played by Kris Kristofferson and Ashley Judd. Morgan Freeman, being Morgan Freeman, gets barely two minutes and still commands the moment. Enthusiasts hope that the new film will be as good as the one before.
