The Amazing Race season 25 cast and spoilers: New season, a whole new twist and featuring two Survivor alumna and a 'Soul Surfer'
Are you ready for a crazy trip around the world while you are in the comfort of your own home? Amazing Race season 25 is almost here and we are looking forward for its upcoming premiere!
The show's rules are still the same. Each team consists of a pair and all of them will have to run against each other in various challenges in several stops of selected countries for a chance to win a million dollars.
CBS had announced the Amazing Race season 25 cast none too long ago and some of them are people we are familiar with. Those who have watched 'Soul Surfer' would be delighted to know that the very woman the movie was inspired from, Bethany Hamilton, will be in this season's roster of contestants alongside her husband, Adam Dirks. Hamilton is a professional surfer who has lost her arm in 2003 from a shark attack.
Also, former Survivor competitors Whitney Duncan and Keith Tollefson will be participating in this Amazing Race. The other pairs in the race are scientists Amy DeJong and Mata Warren, wrestlers Brooke Adam and Robbie Strauss, firefighters Michael Ward and Scott Strazzullo, dentists Misti and Jam Raman, realtors Lisa Thomson and Michelle Thomson, cyclists Kym Perfetto and Alli Forsythe, college sweethearts Tim Tsao and Te Jay McGrath, couple Isabelle Du and Dennis Hour and mother-daughter pair Shelley and Nici Porter.
However, surprising casts are what the show promises this season.
According to some Amazing Race season 25 spoilers, there has been a new twist added called "The Save". This is awarded to the team that finishes first in the first episode and can be used to rescue themselves from elimination if ever they come last in a leg.
The Amazing Race season 25 kicked off in public in Times Square, New York City last May - a first in Amazing Race history.
Catch the Amazing Race premiere on its September 26 air date on CBS.
