Delirious' Martin Smith Will Be Back with "Back to the Start"
Martin Smith will release an album titled 'Back To The Start' on 14th October 2014. This Integrity Music release will feature a combination of songs taken from his two 'God's Great Dance Floor' solo albums, 'Step 01' and 'Step 02'.
Smith is an English vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter. Smith was the front man of the Christian rock and worship band Delirious?. Some of the most recognised songs by Delirious? include "I Could Sing of Your Love Forever", "History Maker", "My Glorious", "Did You Feel the Mountains Tremble?", "Shout To The North", "Deeper", "Majesty (Here I Am)", and "What a Friend I've Found". In 1995, Smith was involved in a near-fatal car accident, and during the weeks of his recovery, he decided to become a full-time musician. This inspired him to write the song "August 30" which appeared on the King of Fools album from Delirious?. Smith was one of the founding members of Delirious? along with Stewart Smith (no relation) and Tim Jupp, when they formed the band as The Cutting Edge.
Smith is now a solo artist and his debut Album God's Great Dance Floor was released in the beginning of April 2013. The songs on 'Back To The Start' feature co-writes with Tim Hughes (Worship Central), Reuben Morgan (Hillsong), Nick Herbert and Matt Redman.
Martin will undertake a 10-date UK tour this December called the 'God's Great Club Tour'. Kicking off in London on 1st December 2014, the tour also visits Wolverhampton, Bristol, Exeter, Tunbridge Wells, Brighton, Southampton, Ipswich and Manchester before finishing in York on 11th December. Supporting the former Delirious front man on his solo tour will be Chaos Curb Collaboration.
