Google Nexus 9 Tablet Release Date, HTC Rumors, Specs And Announcements: Legal Documents From Nvidia Discussing Its Tegra K1 Processor Confirm Existence And Release Date Of The Nexus 9
We have the latest for you on the release date, HTC rumors, specs and announcements of the Google Nexus 9 Tablet. 'Volantis', is the code name given to the new Google Nexus 9 tablet that HTC have been working on and which is still under development. This could be the upcoming tablet from Google, rumor has it. Despite the rumors surrounding Nexus 6, Nexus 8 and a new Nexus 10, the new tablet will have the Google brand developed by HTC.
At Google I/O where the tech company was expected to launch a new product, the Nexus 9 was a no show. Sources believe that the Nexus 9 will be the platform on which Google will launch the Android L later in the year, but this is highly unlikely since if the Nexus 9 is launched with the latest android iteration, this could grab the attention of the world. As Google is supposedly to launch Android Silver, rumors claim since the Nexus 6 has not yet been released there is much more to expect as the Nexus 9 is the expected upcoming Nexus tablet.
In a photo that leaked on media shows the 'Volantis' Google Nexus 9 will have a 8.9 inch screen display. Nexus 9 will use the NVIDIA Tegra K1 next-gen mobile processor that is according to an official NVIDIA legal listing posted by Bright side of news and Droid life.
The tablet is expected to be released as early as Q3 2014. And with HTC sending out invites to a mystery event to be held on 8th October in New York rumors believe it is at this event that the new Google Nexus 9 HTC tablet will be unveiled.
It was the NVIDIA legal filling that confirmed the existence of the Nexus 9 and its HTC branding. With the legal fillings mentioning the next-gen processor to be used in the Nexus 9, technical specifications and hardware aspects for this new device/ tablet are still a mystery. Earlier reports claimed that the Nexus 9 codename 'Volantis' will have a 9 inch display and will be driven by the NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor with 2GB RAM.
The Nexus 9 is expected to be sold in two memory variants that is, the 16GB and 32GB.
