'Terminator' Latest News, Release Date and Other Updates: Terminator is Back! YES, It's a Trilogy! Terminator Genisys Revisits the Past

Fans of the original Terminator movie have reasons to celebrate. It seems that the franchise is back! The return of the Terminator is rumored to be a trilogy in the making. Well, The Terminator Genisys does deserve to be turned into a trilogy. It is one of the most successful franchises in the history of filmmaking.

Paramount already announced that aside from Terminator Genisys (Terminator 1), there is going to be a sequel - not one, but two. Terminator 2 is set to be released on May 19, 2017 and Terminator 3 is set to be released on June 29, 2018.

The first installment of the Terminator reboot is going to hit theaters on July 1, 2015. The first installment is titled Terminator: Genisys.

The Terminator reboot will feature new characters and cast. Emillia Clarke will play the role of Sarah Connor. Jason Clarke will take on the role of John Connor and Kyle Reese will play the role of John's father. Fans will  also be happy to know that Arnold Schwarzenegger will appear in a cameo role on Terminator: Genisys.

It was actually Schwarzenegger who revealed the title of the first installment of the film. The actor posted a picture and in it the title: Terminator Genisys. The picture bears  the caption, "Hasta la vista, baby. I want to thank the cast and crew of @TerminatorGenisys for a fantastic shoot. It was challenging, it was fun, and it was rewarding."

The creators of the Terminator reboot are planning to shoot three films back to back. We are hoping for more updates about the plot and  further revelations on what the first installment of the franchise has in store. For now, fans are hoping for killer visual effects and a great story line. Will it follow the original storyline or will they give it a new fresh twist?
