Toshiba Encore Mini that Runs Windows 8.1: Packed with features, its Price is only $199
Toshiba has launched its Encore Mini tablet, that has a quad-core Intel Atom CPU, 16 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and it also boasts of 1 GB of RAM. The screen size is 7-inches with an aspect ratio of 16:9. There are cameras on both sides, so that one can Skype in peace. And what's more, it runs on Windows 8.1 and is available for only $199. Fans of the specs and the company can lay their hands pretty early on the tablet, because according to company sources, it could start shipping from the 17th of September.
A Senior Director for Product Marketing at the Toshiba American Information Systems - Philip Osako revealed that the company is focusing on hardware design these days and trying to bridge the gap in innovation in this field as well. He said that they wanted the hardware to evolve with the Chrome OS features.
The Toshiba Encore Mini is trying to tap into all those users who have used a Windows OS in the past, but are trying to shift to the tablet arena, but don't want to go the unfamiliar ways - Android or Apple. This tablet will be their best bet not only because of the familiarity but also because of the features and the awesome price.
It may also be recalled that Toshiba has also launched a Chromebook 2, which is also packed with numerous features. It has 2 GB of RAM and also has two editions for the discerning users.
