'Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1' Release Date 2014, Final Extended Trailer Released Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Watch Here (VIDEO)
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 movie has finally released their full trailer that they have been teasing for the last few weeks. The almost two-minute trailer, is action packed and is all eyes on Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) who has not been seen much in the first trailer teasers. It's like they have been hiding her for this moment. You can check out the trailer above.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 is a few months away from it's highly anticipated November 2014 release starring Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson). This is the movie that could unseat Guardians of the Galaxy as the highest grossing movie of 2014. So we will have to see how it pans out!
Katniss Everdeen's role in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 is more vital than ever. This film will pick up immediately where the last film, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire left off. Katniss, is devastated to learn that her former home, District 12 of Panem, has been obliterated into ashes and her close friend and seemingly love interest, Peeta, has been taken captive by President Snow and the wicked forces of the nation's capitol. Katniss reluctantly becomes the beacon of hope and newfound leader of the rebel forces forming to wage war against the capitol - naming her as "The Mockingjay".
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 is directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Danny Strong and Peter Craig and produced by Nina Jacobson's Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the third in a trilogy written by Suzanne Collins that has over 65 million copies in print in the U.S. alone.
Jennifer Lawrence recently earned a spot in the upcoming edition of The Guinness Book of World Records for being the highest-grossing action movie heroine. This is just one more accomplishment she can add to her impressive and still young career, which includes an Oscar Award and two Golden Globes.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 is set to release to theaters on November 21, 2014.
