'Serena' Latest News: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper's Film is Finally Here! Trailer, Cast, and Updates

Dubbed as Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper's "lost" film- Serena is finally here. The production for the movie started in 2012. It took them almost two years to finish the film.  After seeing the trailer, I can understand why. It is a provocative film and you can see the effort made to make the film perfect in terms of set design, production, and location.

It has been rumored that the cast and crew was done filming by 2013 but the director of the film, Oscar-winner Susanne Bier, is quite a perfectionist that the film stayed in post-production for almost a year.

Serena is based on a novel of the same title by Ron Rash. It tells a story of a young couple trying to build a business empire. As the economy plummets, their business and their relationship got affected. The movie happened during the depression-era in North Carolina. The trailer showed that the movie is not  slow. It shows Serena Pemberton (Jennifer Lawrence) as someone who can handle men. She is very dominant and intelligent. The conflict in their relationship started when George Pemberton (Bradley Cooper) found out that Serena cannot bear a child. Serena can be sweet, endearing, and brutal at the same time.

It was rumored that when Jennifer Lawrence read the script for the film, she recommended Bradley Cooper for the part of George Pemberton. The two stars have worked previously in the movie The Silver Linings Playbook and have always talked about working again together. They both earned recognitions in doing that film. Lawrence won her first Oscar and Cooper earned an Academy Award nomination. The duo did it again in the movie American Hustle.

Serena is set to be released in U.K. on October 24, 2014. Fans will just have to wait for the U.S. release date.
