Manchester Orchestra 2014 Fall Tour Dates Announced Along with New Stripped Down Album 'Hope'

Manchester Orchestra is set to release a new album titled Hope. This is a surprise to most fans as this album was not expected. It will not be new songs, the album will feature stripped-down versions of their latest album, Cope, that released in April 2014.

Hope is available now for digital download and will be released on CD and vinyl Nov. 18th via Loma Vista Recordings.

"Our goal was to be as sensitive as possible about not overcrowding the music, and letting it breathe and aiming for pretty," shared singer Andy Hull. "We aimed for nasty and guttural stuff on Cope, and this was more like, 'How pretty can this be?' I've always liked both sensibilities. This was an opportunity to see if we could sit down and do it for a whole album."

Hope will included new versions of the songs that incorporate vocal re-arrangements, Fender Rhodes electric piano, acoustic piano, even strings.

Manchester Orchestra will be touring support of Hope beginning on Halloween in Memphis and ends at Cumberland Caverns in McMinnville, Tenn., Dec. 13.
