Miss America 2015 Winner: Exclusive Details on Kira Kazantsev
Miss New York Kira Kazantsev won the prestigious title of being the most beautiful woman in the country. While the competition was definitely tough with the likes of Courtney Paige Garrett and Ashton Jo Campbell vying for the same title, she credits the win to her hard work. She also shared that she was inspired by the 2012 movie Pitch Perfect.
Her journey from a simple blogger to being the center of attraction for the coming year and possibly rest of her life is truly extraordinary. Although Kira believes that her training was the toughest part of all, she says that a lot of work remains to be completed in every sector. She also shared that her win is due to her ability to be comfortable in her own skin and being happy that she's doing something that she really enjoys. Fans all across the world have sent their well wishes.
Her win is not that surprising. Apart from the fact that she is incredibly beautiful, her vision on sexual assault in the military and the ways to fight the same has been quite commendable. This vision also helped her win the $50,000 scholarship, which she intends to use to enroll into a law school. Similarly, she feels that domestic violence is something that should be given attention.
The rest of the top 5 contestants were Miss Arkansas Ashton Jo Campbell, Miss Massachusetts Lauren Kuhn, Miss Florida Victoria Cowen, and Miss Virginia Courtney Paige Garrett (first runner up).
