'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies' News and Update: New Art Work for 'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies' Revealed [Pictures+Video]

"The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies" release date is set on December this year. It is the third and the final installment of the movie trilogy "The Hobbit." The Daily Mail has posted several pictures from this final epic movie.

The first picture shows the elves spearmen bracing themselves against a cavalry charge of Orcs mounted on huge mountain goats. The second picture show the dwarf King, Thorin Oakenshield sitting on his throne, looking dejected. Other characters included in the picture are Bilbo Baggins and the two elves, Legolas and Tauriel. Half the space in the third picture shows Smaug the dragon wrecking havoc on a town. Facing him looks like a human defender willing to take him on.

The movie is adapted from JRR Tolkien's books that were released before the igniting of the Second World War. The battle of the five armies were described as a conflict which pitted the Morian Goblins and Wargs, Gundabad and Misty Mountain Orcs against the Great Eagles of the Misty Mountain, Dwarves of the Lonely Mountain, Elves of the Mirkwood and of course, the Men of the Long Lake.
