'Orange Is The New Black' Season 3 Spoilers: Changes in the Cast and Characters
'Orange Is The New Black' Season 3 Spoilers: Changes in the Cast and Characters
Production of the third season of the hit TV series "Orange is the New Black" is on progress. Their target release date is in summer of 2015 on Netflix. In fact, talks abound that the first episode will run on June. As of now, the first two episodes are available for streaming. With the production of the third season on-going, fans are raving for information as to who will be in the next season and who's not. Here are what we know so far:
Let's start with Pornstance. It can be remembered that he had an affair and impregnated an inmate so he got fired from the Litchfield Penitentiary. With that, it is clear that we would not be seeing him anymore. Along with Pornstance, Maritza Ramos who is played by Diane Guerrero will also exit the show. This is because Guerrero was cast in another TV show entitled "Jane the Virgin". It would be impossible for her to manage both shows together.
Now that we are done with those who are leaving, let's take a look at the regulars who will be making an appearance. First on the list will have to be Alex Vause, played by actress Laura Prepon. This news was revealed to the public by Prepon herself through her Instagram account, and she was backed up by Netflix on her claims. According to Netflix, she will be appearing in all 13 episodes of this upcoming season. Vause is the former lover of the main character, piper, who also asked her to smuggle drugs which led to her getting in jail.
If there are those who will be leaving and there are regulars coming back, there are also new characters who will be introduced. Actress Marsha Blake, who was known for her roles in "Django Unchained" and "Girls", will be introduced as the new correction officer who will replace Pornstance. Like Prepon, she also broke the news through her Instagram account. From the look of the images she was posting in her Instagram, it would seem that her character will be a little crazy and quirky.
These changes are sure to make for a whole new experience for all OITNB viewers.
