We have the latest for you on the Release Date, Reports And Rumors of The Maze Runner Sequel Movie. 20^th Century Fox is celebrating quite a huge success with the Maze Runner as the movie has made quite a huge amount of money in the first 3 days after its release in the last weekend. The 20^th Century Fox is celebrating the win by announcing the 2^nd sequel of the movie. It is well known in Hollywood that success is almost always followed by a sequel, and the young-adult adaptation movie has followed the same pattern.

As reported by the Hollywood reporter, Fox has already announced the premiere date of the 2^nd sequel of The Maze Runner. The announced sequel has been scheduled to premiere on 18^th September 2015. If you think this is a turnaround, then you are right. If the production is to stick with the scheduled dates, then the sequel of the movie will be released exactly one year after the first sequel of the movie. The second sequel of the movie will be titled- Maze Runner: Scorch Trials. Similar to what the title suggests, the movie will be based on James Dashner's book series which was first released in 2010.

Although Fox is very keen on the turnaround for the second sequel of the movie, we do not yet know who will be in charge of making it. We speculate though that the one in charge of making the movie will be Wes Ball who was also in charge of making the first sequel of the movie. It is certain that Fox is happy with Ball's work so we would not be surprised if he is still the one in charge of the upcoming sequel. The Maze Runner cost $34 million before marketing which is quite amazing.

Looking back at The Maze Runner, Thomas (Dylan O'Brien) is a young man who wakes up one day to find himself in a fright elevator with no memory of who he is. Without his consent, he was transferred in a new location known as the Glade. Which is an open location surrounded by a giant maze and other young men who have found themselves in the same situation. Thomas is not only interested in finding a way out of that place, but also to find out who he is and who is responsible of imprisoning him.
