'Game of Thrones' Season 5: Tywin Lannister is Not Done Yet

HBO hit series "Game of Thrones" has a nasty habit of killing off its main characters but remains a totally engrossing TV series. The fourth season is a pretty interesting one as it showcased the death of not one but two characters that fans loved to hate: Tywin Lannister and Joffrey Baratheon. This put the whole fan base of the series raving with surprise. As a result, the series has enjoyed an increase of audience. Along with the increase of viewers, fans are also exchanging speculations as to where the series is heading right now. If you are looking for some insights into what you can expect from the upcoming season, read on. However, you should be warned that there are potential spoilers here. Here are what we know so far about the "Game of Thrones" Season 5.

Tywin Lannister, although killed in the fourth season, may not be out of the show completely. Actor Charles Dance, who plays Lannister in the series, hinted as much. According to him, in an interview with MTV UK, the fans may not have seen the blast of Tywin. How is this possible? There is no question that the character did die in the previous season, and since "Game of Thrones" is not into resurrection, as a theme; then we can rule it out. The most logical way for him to come back would have to be through a vision or dream. Flashback is not a narrative technique widely used in GOT, making dreams as the likely candidate. No matter how it's done, it would truly make for an amazing "Thrones".

If the tyrant Lannister is coming back, Bran Stark would not. This was hinted by actor Kristian Nairn, who portrays Hodor, the loyal companion of Bran in his journey. This is another surprise given the fact that, unlike Tywin, Bran is very much alive in the series. But, if you should look closely into the storyline of the series, taking Bran off for the whole season is a sound decision from HBO. Why is that? In season four he was able to finally reach his three-eyed raven mentor which is the current status of the character as far as George R. R. Martin's book is concerned. Taking his side of the story off the whole season will allow the show to focus more on development of new characters and give enough time for the rest of the story to catch up to which point he is now.

Although both information are hinted by actors in the show themselves, there is no official statement yet from HBO.
