Marijuana Latest News: A Reporter Quit Her Job On-Air to Help Legalizing Marijuana in Alaska

Her last words were "And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, f--- it, I quit."  But before that epic last four words, (f---- it, I quit), Charlo Greene revealed herself as the president and CEO of the Alaska Cannabis Club.  Greene, whose legal name is Charlene Ebge, said, "Everything you've heard is why I, the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will be dedicating all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska."

Everyone is in shock upon hearing Greene's declaration.  KTVA wrote an apology to their website stating:  "We sincerely apologize for the inappropriate language used by a KTVA reporter during her live presentation on the air tonight. The employee has been terminated."

Charlo Greene started a fundraising campaign on IndieGogo to help raise $5000, and the money will be used to "inform Alaskan voters" about the campaign of Alaska Cannabis Club.

Greene is using social media to explain her cause.  Last Monday, she released a video explaining her reasons why she is fighting for the legalization of marijuana in Alaska.  Alaskan voters will need to decide on Nov.  4, if they want to legalize the recreational use of cannabis.

According to a report from Daily News, "If voters do approve Ballot Measure 2 on Nov. 4, residents 21 and older will be allowed to legally possess an ounce of marijuana and grow up to six plants, as well as allow for the sale and possession of related paraphernalia."

According to Greene, Alaska Cannabis Club is the only legal medical marijuana resource in Alaska.  In the video that she posted, she is asking fellow marijuana smokers that they are contributing members of the society and that they are responsible adult.  Greene also stresses that smoking marijuana is no different than drinking a beer.

Greene's Facebook Page, showed a picture of her, lighting marijuana, and, in addition, she's actually growing them.  Her crusade is one of kind.  She's brave enough to drop everything, to fight for what she believe is right.
