'Modern Family' ABC Season 6 Release DAate, Cast Adds Guest Star Kristen Johnston, Steve Zahn and Andrea Anders
"Modern Family" Season 6 premieres tomorrow and the comedy is going for a sixth consecutive Emmy Award for 'Best Comedy Series'. This would help them pass "Frazier" whom they are currently tied with for five consecutive Emmys.
Some of the season's guest stars have already been announced, and the Pritchett, Dunphy and Tucker families will be joined by a slew of new faces to help them secure that next award.
Entertainment Weekly reported that Steve Zahn will be playing the role of Ronnie, the head of the family that will become the Dunphys new neighbors. Ronnie's wife, Kim, will be played by Andrea Anders of "Better Off Ted."
ABC has announced earlier this month that the cast has added "The Exes" star Kristen Johnston and Cam (Eric Stonestreet) will be consoling her through a tough time.
ABC has one of the best comedy line-ups on Wednesday nights. Here is their Fall 2014 schedule (all times eastern):
8:00-8:30 p.m.: "The Middle"
8:30-9:00 p.m.: "The Goldbergs"
9:00-9:30 p.m.: "Modern Family"
9:30-10:00 p.m.: "Black-ish"
10:00-11:00 p.m.: "Nashville"
The comedy series "Modern Family" debuted on ABC in September 2009 and has become one of the best comedies on television and up for Emmy nominations on a yearly basis. The show has won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in each of the past four years and the Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series three times so far as well, twice for Eric Stonestreet and once for Ty Burrell, as well as the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series twice for Julie Bowen. It also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy.
