'X-Men Apocalypse' to be Directed by Bryan Singer! See Other Stars Who Will Return
The Wrap has posted a report that Bryan Singer will still be the director for the upcoming movie "X-Men Apocalypse." Mr. Singer was the director of the previous "X-Men" movie - "Days of Future Past".
It was also reported that Singer and FOX had successfully reached an agreement about the latest installment of the "X-Men" series. The deal was made after a charge of sexual abuse allegations against Singer was dropped.
A sexual assault charge was filed against Singer just days before the "Days of Future Past" was about to be released to movie theaters. Amidst the controversy, the director kept a low profile until the premiere launched of the X-Men movie. It was even reported that producer FOX might replaced him, as the director for the upcoming movie, because of the bad publicity that may follow.
Fortunately, there was little evidence to back up the allegations. The accuser Michael Egan, later drop the sexual assault charges.
A number of the casts and characters from the previous installment have been confirmed, to return, in the latest X-Men installment. Fans would be glad to know that some new X-Men characters will be added as well.
Raven aka Mystique played by Jennifer Lawrence
Erik Lensherr aka Magneto played by Michael Fassbender
Peter aka Quicksilver played by Evan Peters
Charles Xavier played by James McAvoy
Hank McCoy aka Beast played by Nicholas Hoult
Logan aka Wolverine played by Hugh Jackman
The following are the rumored X-Men characters that will be added in the upcoming movie.
Remy LeBeau aka Gambit played by Channing Tatum
En Sabah Nur aka Apocalypse played by Brendan Pedder
"X-Men: Apocalypse" script writer is Simon Kinberg and it's "based on a story by Kinberg, Singer and "X2" scribes Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris," The Wrap reports.
20th Century Fox has announced that the latest X-Men installment is set for release in the United States on May 27, 2016.
