'Lavantula' Storyline, Casts and Released Date: All it Takes is 'Lavantula' to See Casts of Police Academy Reunite
Television channel Syfy is set to air a new monster movie that will reunite the former casts of Police Academy. The movie is called "Lavantula."
Lavantulas are giant tarantulas that spits out lava. The creatures live under the unknown but dormant Santa Monica volcanoes. One day, the Lavantulas climbed out of their hiding place and began terrorizing Los Angeles. The heroes from "Police Academy" are the only ones that could stop them.
The former Police Academy actors who will be in the "Lavantula" movie are Steve Guttenberg, Leslie Easterbrook and Michael Winslow. Other actors who will join them in the movie are Ralph Garman and Nia Peeples.
Steve Guttenberg will play the role of a 1990s action star hero down on his luck.
The upcoming monster movie is still in production. The location of the movie shoot is set in Los Angeles, California. The upcoming giant spider movie is being directed by Mike Mendez. "Lavantula" is set to be shown on air in the summer of 2015.
Here's a brief description about Police Academy and its cast:
"Police Academy" is a comedy movie that was released in 1984. The film is focused on the people that run the police academy and their recruits. "Police Academy" was followed by six more sequels. Steve Guttenberg played the role of Cadet Carey Mahoney. Leslie Easterbrook played the role of Sgt. Debbie Callahan. Michael Winslow played the role of Larvell "Motor mouth" Jones.
Nia Peeples is famous for her role in "The Young and the Restless." Ralph Garman is a celebrity impressionist as well as a radio personality. Garman is also a veteran of another monster movie film called "Sharktopus."
"Lavantula" Spoiler Alert! In one of the scenes, "Motor mouth" Jones will put his talent to good use as he convinces the lavantulas to leave Los Angeles alone.
