Review:NCIS:New Orleans Season 1 Episode1: Agent Christopher LaSalle will do anything to grab the bad guys!
CSI started it, so why not NCIS?
CBS network has finally decided it's time for an NCIS franchise and what better place to have it but in New Orleans. NCIS: New Orleans, like NCIS: Los Angeles is a military drama series revolving around the field office. Its aim is to solve criminal cases, which pertain to the military personnel.
"NCIS: New Orleans" was first introduced early this year in NCIS: Los Angeles. The takeoff was a two-part story in Season 11. The parent series revealed the characters and the setting of the new show.
The Team - Special Agent Dwayne Pride a.k.a. "King" (Scott Bakula). Pride is a workaholic. He practically lives in his office. But when it comes to solving cases, Pride will do everything in his power to get justice. Pride is married to Linda (Paife Turco) and they have a daughter.
Senior Special Agent Christopher LaSalle (Lucas Black). He is unconventional yet irresistible. Eccentric at times but who really cares just as long as he gets the bad guys. So watch out for Sgt. La Salle bad guys you don't want to cross him.
Special Agent Meredith "Merri" Brody (Zoe McLellan). The team considers Brody as the "new kid on the block." She is unfamiliar with the place, but the team surely makes her feel at home. Brody is a hard-hitting investigator whom you don't want to mess with.
The team solves their cases with the help of an offbeat coroner Doctor Loretta Wade (C. C. H. Pounder) and her lab assistant Sebastian Lund (Rob Kerkovich).
The Beginning - "NCIS: New Orleans" premiere showed a human leg in a pile of crawfish! That's one way to start a show. The victim is a young Navy man who is connected to a certain gang. Team Leader Dwayne Pride was his mentor. And the investigation starts.
So if you are crime/mystery genre fanatic, "NCIS: New Orleans" will surely satisfy your craving. It is another interesting show to check on the telly.
The show is a creation of Gary Glasberg , Jeffrey Lieber and Sam Humphrey and is produced by Mark Harmon.
"NCIS: New Orleans" begins Tuesday on CBS.
