Apple Watch News: What you can expect in the much-anticipated watch?
With the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus generation mobile devices out, what still lurks in the hearts of Apple loyalists is the release of their Android watch equivalent; the iWatch. Speculated to be at a US$ 350 starting price, there is no doubt that the watch sales can keep up with the sales of the iPhone sales.
Designs have leaked, and if these pictures can be trusted, fans can expect great things. The designers have gone with a retro look, maintaining a dial on the side and the circle base that watch users certainly are familiar with. Who does not use a watch, anyway?
Sources highlighted that the dial could be used to zoom in and out of the screen when navigating maps or viewing pictures using the watch, which honestly would be a great convenience as opposed to using the forefinger and thumb to zoom in and out of the small watch screen. A wide selection of materials were used for production, ranging from simple glass to sapphire.
A suite of sensors have been integrated into the watch to enable seamless control of one's life elements. It is now going to be possible to track one's health using sensors underneath the watch. The watch will be indispensable to health buffs. It's a wearable technology that active people certainly would love to get thei hands on.
Like their phone counterparts, users can also make payments via NFC using this watch. Moving the watch towards the face during calls should automatically light up display and give the owner response options to carry out their tasks. This function is aptly named 'Glance', which is self-explanatory in features.
This whole host of functions would most certainly require a great charging system, and thankfully Apple has utilized the MagSafe technology that has shown great success on the Macbook line. This means the watch will not require any openings to plug power cords in through; rather, magnetic induction will serve as the charging basis for the watches.
The much-awaited watch will only be available to users in January of 2015, if not February.
