'Two and a Half Men' News: Is Charlie Sheen Going to Return to 'Two and a Half Men'
Is it really happening? Are the rumors true? Is Charlie Sheen really coming back to "Two and a Half Men?" It has been three years since Charlie Sheen was fired from the hit series, after he publicly bashed Chuck Lorre, the creator of the show. His character, Charlie Harper, was then killed and Ashton Kutcher replaced him. It was the first time ever that a lead character was fired from a show.
At the time, the show "Two and a Half Men" is in limbo - show executives were not sure what to expect and so does the viewer. But Jon and Ashton worked real hard to make sure they connect to the loyal viewers of the "Two and a Half Men." Chuck Lorre said in an interview that "we haven't discussed that, really. We've been really focused on finding a storyline that puts Jon and Ashton front and center in a really interesting, provocative hopefully fun story. That was our priority going into this year, was to do a storyline that puts these two guys right in the middle of it. So, outside characters will come in as they do, but that's not the focus."
As for Charlie Sheen, he said, "Let's bury the hatchet, but let's also put a bookend on this thing. I think I owe it to the fans. I owe it to myself."
Fans are already excited and are wondering how they are going to reintroduced Charlie Harper into the storyline. Also, the execs need to think about the other characters in the series. A lot to consider but it is surely nice to end the show with some sort of closure from both sides. It is after all the show's last season. The premiere episode for the last season of "Two and a Half Men" starts on Oct. 30.
