'Modern Family' Season 6 Premiere Episode - Love Is In The Air
'Modern Family' Season 6 Premiere Episode - Love Is In The Air
They're back! Much is expected from the Emmy Award winning show. So how did the first episode fair to the critics and fans of "Modern Family?"
The episode picked up three months after Cam and Mitchell got married and went to their honeymoon at Cabo. But Cam is still in "honeymoon" mode, while Mitchell isn't. Cam gives Mitchell flowers every day, back rubs, and even surprises him at work, but instead of returning the "love fest," Mitchell is at lost on how to handle Cam's new mission in life. Eventually, Mitchell found out that Cam is afraid that they will lose the romance in their marriage.
Modern Family's lovable Dunphy's are also having a love-filled summer - everyone is getting along, no fighting just baking until Alex's returned from a mission of building houses for the poor. Suddenly, the aura changes and everything is back to "normal." Alex sensing that she is responsible in bringing all the negativity in the house, so she have decided to go back to the mission. But the family prevented her - that and the fact that she kept them all from being poisoned, after she'd learned that they didn't remove the leaves of the rhubarb before they put it in the pie.
Over at Jay and Gloria's, they are arguing about why Jay always looks like a slob. Gloria decided to do the same to make a point. Gloria told Jay that she always dress up for Jay and she wish that Jay would do the same.
"Modern Family" has always been connected with its fans and viewers, but Modern Family's premiere episode lacked something. Maybe it isn't funny enough or it lacks a certain chemistry with the cast comedic timing. The storyline is great. A lot of things are happening with the characters in the series but the connection is not there - not quite for this season anyway. But there's more episode to come and we can just hope that they'd be better ones.
