Great News! Apple Is Going to Replace All Those Bent iPhones 6 and iPhones 6 Plus

After receiving a number of complaints that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus bends, when it was put inside the users' pocket or when the right amount of pressure was applied to it by hand, Apple has finally responded.

Apple's Bent iPhones 6 and 6 Plus Update

The Next Web started an online conversation with Apple's support staff regarding the free replacement of the bent iPhones. The staff replied, the Genius sales people will have to first conduct a "Visual Mechanical Inspection Test". If the bent iPhone 6 passes the test, the owner receives a free replacement. However if it fails the owner will have to pay for the replacement.

Bent iPhone 6 Replacement Guidelines

The Apple support staff further added that the bent iPhone must also passed certain guidelines in order to qualify for the free replacement. However, the support staff was not able to provide what those specific guidelines were.

Apple - Serious About Bent iPhone 6 Issue

The bent iPhone 6 issue has warranted a serious attention of Apple. The same support staff said that Apple is "looking into this with an insane amount of detail."

Apple's Bent iPhone 6 Official Stance

In the same Next Web report, An Apple spokesperson said that the iPhone maker will indeed replace the bent iPhone 6 units, provided that they were not intentionally bent. Owners are encouraged to have their iPhone 6 checked if they see visual signs of their device being bent.

It seems that incidents of iPhones bending are not limited to the iPhone 6. Support communities have been reporting about iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s bending. It seems that iPhone bending incidents are not that rare. This latest incident with the iPhone 6 and even iPhone 6 Plus may indicate a problem on quality products coming from Apple.
