Smartphone market has been adorned with a high tech collection this year. The biggest smartphones companies have reflected their brand name through their new launchings. Let's go through three smartphones named Moto X 2nd generation, LG nexus 5 and HTC One M8, which can be compared as they belong to mid-range price platform.
LG nexus brings 4.95inch display size along with 1080 x 1920 resolution and 445 ppi pixel density. Display type is True HD IPS with 16M colors whereas HTC One M8 comes with 5-inch of display size with LCD3 capacitive type display. Its pixel density is 441 with the resolution of 1080 x 1920 HD. On the other hand Moto X presents 5.2-inch of display size with 1080 x 1920 pixels. Its pixel density 441ppi. The display type, which has been use is the latest AMOLED. All three of them are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
LG nexus 5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset with Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 CPU and GPU is Adreno 330. HTC One M8 features Snapdragon 801 chipset and the CPU consists of Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400. The GPU consists of Adreno 330 and lastly Moto X brings Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU and a GPU of Adreno 330. All three of them are powered by 3GB RAM slot. LG Nexus 5 runs on Andoid v4.4 KitKat while HTC One M8 runs on Android v4.4.2 Kitkat and Moto X runs on operating system Android v4.4.4 KitKat.
For better Image capture experience LG nexus 5 brings 8 MP primary camera with features like, autofocus, optical image stabilization, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, photo sphere, HDR, dual recording and it allows video recording of 1080p at 30fps. Secondary camera is 1.3MP only.HTC One M8 camera has 4MP rear facing camera. A feature named Ultrapixel has been introduced for better image quality but the pixel is pretty poor compared to other smartphones on within the same price range. It has dual-LED (dual tone) flash and records 1080p videos at 60fps. The Moto X has 13MP rear facing camera with dual LED flash. User can record 2160p videos at 30fps. The secondary camera is 2MP and it can also record 1080p HD video. The price of Google Nexus 5 is around $450 while HTC One M8 costs $590 and Moto X revolves around $459 for 32 GB model.
