The most anticipated release from the technologically sound giant Apple has been iPhone the 6 Plus along with iPhone 6. Though the phablet market has been in the control of Samsung phablets, Apple took the challenge to compete Samsung with their new release. The race is far from over.
Samsung is going to launch new Samsung Galaxy Note Edge lately this year, which might take the competition to an extreme level. Let's go through the comparison between these two techno adorned amazing devices.
The iPhone 6 plus comes with their biggest 5.5inch display size with resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The pixel density is 401 ppi. The display type is adorned with LED backlight protected IPS LCD technology. Whereas Samsung Edge brings the world's most sharp resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels with 5.6-inch display. According to the company so far this is the best resolution for phablet market to offer. The pixel density will be 524ppi, which is far sharper than iPhone 6 plus offers. The display type is the next generation Super AMOLED. The curved screen of the device is well protected with the corning Gorilla Glass 3. Apple's iPhone 6 plus has shutter type screen protection. From this, it can be said that based on display quality, at least on paper, Apple fans will find its device nowhere near that of Samsung Galaxy Note Edge.
Let's move on to the camera department. The Note Edge packs itself with highly powered camera with 16MP primary sensor, which offers users the ability to record video of 2160p at 30 frames per second. It has provisions for LED flash and obviously image stabilization, auto focus, geo-tagging are present in the camera features. It has 3.7 MP secondary camera, which can record 1080p videos at 30fps. This is amazing stuff from the company. On the other hand Apple is still stuck into 8MP rear facing camera, which has been assisted with dual LED flash. It offers 1080p video recording at 60fps and 720p video recording with 240fps. 1.2MP front camera facility is available, which can record video of 720p at 30fps.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge offers Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset with Quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and the GPU is Adreno 420. On the other hand,the iPhone 6 Plus brings Apple A8 chipset with Dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone based CPU and GPU of PowerVR GX6450 (quad-core graphics). Apparently, both the devices come with very smart hardware configuration with the latest tech offerings from the companies.
The Note Edge comes with Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery capacity while iPhone brings Non-removable Li-Po 2915 mAh battery. Technically Note Edge beats iPhone by a large margin so the users now have to decide which one provides the best to experience. The price tag set for Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is around $1,139 while iPhone 6 plus could be coveted for around $750.
