iPhone 6 vs Galaxy S5: Specs and Features Comparison

Since iPhone 6 is now out in the market, we now have hard evidence to compare this Apple new device with Samsung S5. This time around, iPhone is getting closer to compete with the Galaxy S5 in terms of size, with the release of the 4.7 in version and the phablet version (6in).

The first comparison we shall tackle is the build quality. S5 remains with plastic as the construction quality of choice, though it got a lot better at working with the material as time has gone on. Apple's used a unibody metal exterior for its high-end phones since the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 6 isn't any different.

The 2nd comparison is NFC. Apple has stayed away from these feature way too long and it is about time they finally got convinced and added NFC to the iPhone 6. Galaxy S5, on the other hand, had NFC during launch.

The 3rd comparison is the screen. S5 remains true to their Super AMOLED technology, while Apple is stuck with the LCD technology but this time around it's using dual-domain pixels, which the company says will improve viewing angles.

Performance wise, S5 clocks in at 2.5 GHZ with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU, while Apple, though still has the dual-core technology, had eagerly added the new powerful A8 chip which is "the fastest processor that it's ever made, claiming up to 25 per cent faster processing power and up to 50 per cent faster graphics."

Battery, is somewhat the most important. Though Apple was bashed by Samsung's commercial as a "wall hugger" smarthphone, there is a bit of an increase of mAh with iPhone 6 which is at 1,810mAh. Still, this does not fare up with S5's powerful 2,800mAh battery.
