Michael Schumacher the Well Known F1 Racer, his Condition's Latest News: How is He Now? More to Find Out
Accidents happen anytime and anywhere. It does not choose who will its victim will be. Simple and ordinary people or famous and well known personalities are prone to this. The worl renowned F1 racer has its own story to tell. Nine months after the shocking skiing accident in the French Alps resort of Meribel, Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher went home to a special rehabilitation room. Schumacher, a seven-time F1 world champion, has hit his head in the off-piste accident that broke his helmet in two. He was operated for brain hemorrhage to remove blood clots in his brain and has been put in a medically induced coma.
After six months in a coma, Schumacher was discharged from the French hospital where he underwent operation. He was transferred to a rehabilitation clinic in The University Hospital of Lausanne (CHUV Lausanne) in Switzerland where he underwent treatment in the Jardin des Sens, a specialized outdoor section, for almost three months.
It has been reported that Michael Schumacher has sufficiently recovered from coma and is making progress in the rehabilitation process. His manager, Sabine Kehm has noted that the legendary racer still has "a long and difficult road ahead." Michael is still unable to speak and move except from random fluttering of his eyelids.
Schumacher has been moved to a specially adapted room in his house. His wife, Corinne and children, Mick and Gina-Maria were happy to have him back home. Medical practitioners find it in a positive light despite some critics questioning the decision. Peter McCabe, chief executive for Headway, a brain injury association stated, "We know the pressures and strains families can face when sitting by the hospital bedsides of their loved ones. Having Michael back home will, I'm sure, be a relief to his family."
During a press release, Kehm also added, "We ask the privacy of Michael's family continue to be respected, and that speculation about his state of health is avoided." Prayers from fans of the well-known racer scattered and is now hoping for his recovery.
