Scandal Season 4 Spoilers: The Fourth Season Showcases Surprises to Viewers
Scandal is an upcoming American television drama series, which chronicles Olivia, a professional fixer who resolves problems before they even exist.
ABC Network made an announcement on May 8, 2014 that they are keeping Scandal for a fourth season. Filming began on July 28, 2014.
Scandal Season 4 stars 2014 Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy Award Nominee Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope, 2013 TV Guide Award Winner Darby Stanchfield as Abby Whelan, 2013 TV Guide Award Winner Katie Lowes as Quinn Perkins, 2014 Image Award Nominee Guillermo Diaz as Huck, 2013 TV Guide Award Winner Jeff Perry as Cyrus Beene, 2006 Screen Actor Guild Awards Nominee Joshua Malina as David Rosen, 2014 Critics' Choice TV Award Winner Bellamy Young as Mellie Grant, 2014 Prism Award Nominee Tony Goldwyn as President Fitzgerald Grant, 2009 Image Award Winner Columbus Short as Harrision Wright, and 2002 Teen Choice Award Nominee Scott Foley as Jake Ballard.
As Scandal Season 4 set its debut a couple of months from the finale of the third season, its enthusiasts are ecstatic to see the lead character in the person of Olivia Pope reprising into action. In the previous season, Rowan assassinated the son of the president, Fitz landed the election, and Olivia went to an anonymous place together with Jake.
The season started off with Olivia and Jake living peacefully for two months in their Promised Land in Zanzibar. After receiving a letter regarding Harrison's death, their life at peace began to change. They came back to Washington to visit her deceased friend, but the direction of the wind has changed. This may transform their peaceful life into a muddled one.
Moving forward, the second episode of the political drama concentrates on President Fitz's speech on gun control. In line with this, he will need a hand coming from Cyrus. Later, Cyrus will introduce a heavy couple to be played by Josh Randall and Mary McCormack. The second episode will also unveil the RNC Chairwoman Portia de Rossi.
In Glamoir.com, Young and Goldwyn said that the Season 4 will showcase something new and different.
"It's so different. Everything is different. The writers and producers have blown our minds with the way they've reinvented everything, but they've managed to keep it at the same intensity level too."
The American television drama is piloted by Tom Verica. Scandal Season 4 is produced by Merri Howard, and Scott Collins, along with Heather Mitchell also contributing as writer. The series is executive produced by Mark Wilding, Betsey Beers, and Shonda Rhimes.
The fourth season of the ABC TV drama series premiered on 25 September 2014, 9|8c, on ABC Network and it airs every Tuesday night.
