Carrie Underwood Greatest Hits Album Release Date December 2014, New Single "Something in the Water" Released, Listen Here (VIDEO)
Country superstar Carrie Underwood announced on the "Today" show last week that she will be releasing a greatest hits album titled, Greatest Hits: Decade #1.
The album will also contain the new single "Something in the Water". The single released on Monday and you can listen to the new track above.
"The song is called 'Something in the Water' and it's going to be a single off my greatest hits album, which will come out Dec. 9...It's very uplifting," Underwood shared.
Carrie revealed that, "Something in the Water" is "about changing your life for the better and having that 'aha moment' to waking up and your life being different from that moment forward."
She wrote on twitter (@carrieunderwood): "The news is out! "Something in the Water" single available Mon. from my album "Greatest Hits: Decade #1" out Dec. 9!"
"Something in the Water is so inspirational," Underwood said via a new release. "It's joyous! I can't help but smile when I hear it. I hope it has the same effect on everyone who listens to it."
Underwood wrote "Something in the Water" was written by Underwood along with Chris DeStefano and Brett James; Mark Bright produced the track.
The track list is not yet official, but Greatest Hits: Decade #1 will showcase some of Underwood's 18 Number One singles from her four studio albums. It will include the songs "Jesus Take The Wheel," "Before He Cheats," "So Small," "Blown Away," and more.
"I can't believe it's been a decade since I auditioned for American Idol. Looking back at the songs I've released over the years lets me relive my amazing journey. Even better I get to include new music for the fans!" Underwood said in a statement.
