Missing Woman Who Disappeared Last Week Found in Her 1960's Hometown
The disappearance of a 52-year-old woman made headlines last week. The woman, Cynthia Adams from Boise, Idaho, was reportedly found in a small town in Mississippi, where her father used to be a minister. Adams was alive and well, but was disoriented.
Adams was reported missing after she didn't return from her doctor's appointment. She has no idea how she got to Mississippi. According to Boise Police Department, Adams withdrew some cash on three separate occasions - once in Idaho and twice in Wyoming.
Last Saturday, Adams knocked at one of the homes in Clara, Mississippi. Adams was officially declared as a missing person last Thursday and police wasn't able to get an update until Saturday, when Adams walked inside Clara Grocery. Tina Brewer who owned the Clara Grocery said that Adams told them that she arrived 1 a.m. in the morning and that "she slept in her truck." Brewer added, "She looked like somebody who'd been up all night. It was kinda strange."
Adams started listing names of people from the town. Although Brewer didn't recognized most of the names in the list, the older men in the store did. The odd thing was Adams can remember her friends and family from Clara, Mississippi but not her family from Idaho.
Elizabeth Singleton lends her helping hand by trying to locate the people who knew Adams. Singleton used Facebook to find old classmates. Singleton said that Adams told her that she slept on the parking lot of her Father's church. Back in the day, the pastor's home was also located in the property as well as a small religious school. Singleton added, "She kept saying, 'My home is gone and the school is burned. I didn't understand. I asked her, were you in a tornado?"
Singleton then discovered several post in Facebook that Adams is missing. She immediately called the police who immediately contacted her husband. Her husband believed that Adams has no reason to run away. She did have health problems but not something that could affect her memory.
Since Adams has been found safe, there are no criminal charges pending.
