Google Nexus 5 extends its display size to 4.95-inches with 1080 x 1920-pixel resolution and the pixel density is 445ppi. The display type of Nexus 5 is True HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the display. HTC One M8 has very similar display configuration to Nexus 5. The screen size of Nexus 5 is 5-inch with 1080 x 1920 pixels display resolution. The display type is wrapped with colorful LCD3 with 16M colors. The pixel density just falls behind Nexus 5 with 441 ppi.Again, the same Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the phone.
Nexus 5 is packed with good camera configuration. The rear camera features 8MP sensor with autofocus, LED flash, optical image stabilization, geo-tagging, photosphere, face detection, HDR features. It can record video of 1080p at 30fps and the front camera is standard 1.3MP. HTC One lags the camera standard since it offers 4MP dual rear camera and the front camera consists of 5MP sensor. The primary camera can record 1080p at 60fps and 720p at 120fps. Nexus 5 clearly rules on the camera department compared to HTC One M8
Nexus 5 has compact hardware configuration where the processor has Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset and Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 CPU. The GPU is provided with moderate Adreno 330. On the other hand, HTC One has Qualcomm MSM8974AB Snapdragon 801 chipset with Quad-core 2.3 GHz CPU and the GPU is same as Nexus 5. Both the devices have accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer built in sensors. Even similarity can be also detected in the internal memory and RAM. Both the devices are powered with 2GB of RAM and has 16/32 GB model phones.Nexus runs on android v 4.4 KitKat and HTC One operates on android v4.4.4 KitKat. HTC One has 2600mAh battery capacity, which is slightly greater than Nexus 5 as it offers 2300mAh battery capacity.
