"Gracepoint" Season Premiere Date, Spoilers: Will the US version work with the audiences?

A US version of a UK TV hit series? Now that's different. The question is - will it work? The new series 'Gracepoint' is the US version of Broadchurch, a hit program in the United Kingdom. How similar are they?Both programs are under crime drama genre ; both are created and written by Chris Chibnall and both have the same lead star!

The new show will present 10 episodes in their first season. And like Broadchurch, the viewers will be captured by the gripping plot of 'Gracepoint'.

How will you feel if someone railroaded your promotion? Upon returning from a vacation, 'Gracepoint' Detective Ellie Miller (Anna Gunn) finds out that her promotion was snagged by a new comer, Detective Emmett Carver ( David Tennant). Will the two detectives be able to set their feelings aside to hunt for a murderer? The first season of Gracepoint will center on a tragic death. An eleven-year old boy , Danny Solano , is killed in a small quiet town. Families are devasted. Cops are confused. Who did it? Will Detective Miller care enough?

Aside from Tennant and Gunn other stars who will grace the series are: Virgina Kull as Beth Solano, mother of Danny; Josh Hamilton as Joe Miller, husband of Ellie and Michael Pena as Mark Solano, father of Danny. To make the story more interesting, Fox nework invited Oscar Nominee Nick Nolte to be part of the series. Nolte will play Jack Reinhold, owner of a kayak rental and a long time resident of Gracepoint. Jack is the prime murder suspect.

'Gracepoint' is one action-drama genre to watch out for. The TV series is set to go on air October 2, 2014. James Strong will direct the series. The decision to produce the US version of Broadchurch was made by FOX network almost a year ago, August 2013. The network also decided to use the same actor, David Tennant, to star in the US version. Tennant was Detective Alec Hardy in Broadchurch.
