Jeremy Renner Said He's Happy Matt Damon Returning to 'Bourne' Series - Bourne Planning Something Big?
A couple of weeks back, Matt Damon is said to return for the Bourne series but fans of Jeremy Renner are not taking the news well.
But Jeremy Renner said that he's glad that Matt Damon is returning. Renner said, "I think it really opens up the world and it keeps Bourne's character active. He also added, "I think Cross' character is already going to continue to be active. I think it will take creatives to bring them together, which is what I think is ultimately the plan."
Renner is busy promoting his new film "Kill The Messenger." He's also starting to prepare for upcoming movie "Mission Impossible" and "Marvel's The Avengers."
The actor thinks that Damon returning to the "Bourne" series have tremendous potential. He thinks that keeping Bourne alive will give more opportunity to explore the film. In an interview, Renner said that a "Bourne" sequel is still happening and it is now more interesting and exciting because Damon and Greengrass are joining in. The actor said, "I think they'll be separate movies, and then the idea is for us to either team up, or be adversaries."
Fans sure misses Matt Damon in the film and it's nice to see the two actors are working together. It is also a good sign that the studio is not letting Renner go just because Damon is back. It means they are planning for something big - a crossover maybe or another trilogy? No additional details were given about the next installment of the "Bourne" series. It was rumored that the movie is going to be released on July 15, 2016.
Renner is one of the busiest actor in the industry. He recently revealed that he's now married to the mother of her daughter Ava. The marriage was kept a secret as Renner want to keep his privacy. In between making movies and being a family man, he admits to sleep only 2-3 hours a day.
Renner gave his opinion about the latest hacking incident of nude photos of celebrities. The actor said, "Why I steer away from media in general is because I'm sickened by what gets attention-like sensationalism, hacked celebrity phones, etc. It makes me feel terrible to be a human. What's a headline anymore?"
