HTC now merges with Google to bring the latest Nexus 9, which is expected to make its presence on October. Let us compare this tablet with a tablet on the same range, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4.
HTC Nexus 9 is blessed with 8.9-inch giant display with 1440 x 2048-pixel resolution. The pixel density is also gentle with 281 ppi. The display type is IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has latest Super AMOLED capacitive type display with 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution. The screen size is moderate, with 8.4-inches with 359 ppi pixel density, which beats the Nexus 9.
Both the devices offer strong hardware configuration. The Nexus 9 will bring the new Nvidia Tegra K1 chipset, which will work smoothly with Quad-core 2.5 GHz CPU and offer a better gaming experience. The tablet will feature ULP GeForce Kepler. Nexus 9 will have 16/32 GB internal memory model with expandable 128GB micro SD card provision. The RAM slot will be powered by 2GB of RAM. Whereas Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has Exynos 5 Octa 5420 chipset with the very powerful quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and the Quad-core 1.9 GHz Cortex-A15. It supports powerful GPU of Mali-T628 MP6 GPU. Samsung leads the RAM department with 3GB of RAM and the internal memory and external memory are same as Nexus 9.
Nexus 9 has strong camera configuration with 8MP rear facing camera with 3264 x 2448 pixels. The camera is capable of recording 1080p video at 30 fps with features like optical image stabilization, touch focus, face detection, LED flash and many more. The secondary camera has 3MP camera sensor. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has same type of camera specification with 8MP of rear camera sensor with 3264 x 2448 pixels. It also records video with 1080p at 30 fps. Ultimately, Samsung leads the department on secondary camera as it offers 2.1MP sensor. HTC Nexus 9 will be operated on the most updated version of Android OS, v5.0 (L) whereas Samsung tablet operates on Android OS, v4.4.2 (KitKat). Both of them will compete strongly with each other, especially when Nexus 9 is released globally.
