Apple iPad Air 2 New Features, Latest News, Specs: Will it have the NFC chip?

One of the most anticipated releases of this year from Apple apart from the iPhone 6 is the iPad Air 2. This product will probably make its debut this month. Already lots of rumor are being whispered about its release date. The release date might be revolving around 21^st October and the device might be adorned with golden color.

This device brings the updated processor of Apple, which is A8X. The previous version of iPad Air had a 64-bit A7 processor. This time, it is more powerful with the X series update. The clock speed of the processor is still unknown but 1.4 GHz A8 processor might be a close guess since iPhone 6 has the same type of processor.

According to TechNews, the iPad Air might strengthen up a bit by having 2GB of RAM. The earlier version had 1 GB of RAM but Apple might realize that the competitive market needs to power up. The storage options have not been specified yet from the company.

Other competitors like Samsung and Microsoft has introduced split-screen multitasking feature. Therefore, iPad Air 2 might come along with multitasking features. Microsoft Windows 10 will bring quadrant split screen multitasking, which will allow users to perform four tasks at once. Two colors are confirmed from the company: silver and space grey. Later on, a golden iPad Air 2 might join the race. The price is not fixed yet, but from its previous track record, the 16GB Wi-Fi only model of iPad Air 2 might cost around $499 and the 16GB Wi-Fi with cellular service might take $629 from the buyer. The latest TouchID feature will be available in the device. THe possibility of near-field-communication of NFC is not yet confirmed by the company. The new model will have a larger speaker than the previous one. Interestingly, the the thickness of the upcoming device might be 7.5mm.

If everything goes according to plan, fans might experience the new iPad Air 2 very soon and the new tablet is set to make waves.
