Holly Williams Welcomes A New Member of the Family - Stella June
Holly and her husband, musician Chris Coleman, welcomed their first child, Stella June Coleman, to the world. She gave birth in Nashville at exactly 1:45 PM on September 30. Williams told People, "I am beyond thrilled to meet her. I'm so incredibly blessed."
Stella June weighed 7 lbs., 12 oz. and she measured 21 inches long. Williams kept up with the tradition of using the names of an aunt and other relatives. Stella was the name of Holly's great, great aunt and June is the name of her maternal grandmother.
Holly explained that Grandma June was "the grandparent I was closest to by far and she was just such an amazing, lovely, southern dream of a grandmother to me." The song "Waiting in June" is written in the honor of Grandma June. Williams added, "It's really important to teach my child about my grandparents and where they came from and why I was so close to them."
The birth of Stella June is a nice break for the couple, who both have been busy with their careers. Coleman is recently back from working with Kings of Leon while Holly Williams just finished her tour for her new album, "The Highway."
Williams said, "We have been going non-stop for a year and this will be our first 14 days in our house together since 2012. This sounds crazy, but I feel like we're about to go on vacation because we'll be forced to not leave the house for days."
Williams added that she's looking forward to her "bonding time" with Stella June. She thought of being in a rocking chair with Stella June. She said that "even if I'm exhausted, sounds like such a peaceful bonding time."
The photos of Stella June are adorable and the new parents are happy to share these photos to the world. Williams said that she's got a great support system. Sheryl Crow gave her an idea that they will now need a bigger vehicle, if the couple plans on touring with kids in tow. Gwyneth Paltrow taught her how to make homemade baby foods - cooking and steaming. Williams added, "I have a good girl group."
