"Gone Girl", Release Date, Cast, News, Spoilers, Updates: Rosamund Pike shines in the movie
After the unforgettable movie "Seven," director David Fincher is back to scare people out of their wits again! His hair-raising new film 'Gone Girl' is a must see film. The movie will make viewers, particularly couples, a little paranoid.
The story is about a New Yorker couple having some 'deadly' problems. The wife, Amy Dunne, is a well-known magazine writer. Her husband, Nick, is also a journalist. Unfortunately due to the recession, both of them lost their jobs. Because of some financial difficulties, the couple decided to return to Missouri, Nick's hometown. Life was smooth sailing for a time.To earn some cash, Nick decided to work for his sister, Margo, as a bar manager. Here, things take a turn to the worse. On their fifth wedding anniversary, Amy disappeared. Worried and confused, Nick held a press conference to find Amy. But the media wasn't easy to convince. They doubt if Nick is sincere. And after some probing from the police, Nick suddenly becomes the prime suspect! With all the clues that are piling up, how can Nick prove his innocence? The rumor begins: Is Amy really missing? Or did Nick murder his wife?
The way David Fincher added tension after tension in the film shows his unique style of producing crime thrillers. Movie viewers will only have one question - "what's next?!" Using the diary of Amy to present flashbacks is genius! Fincher will make us witness the love affair of the couple. How they met and how they fell in love. Sweet things they have done will also be shown. Witnessing all these, viewers will surely ask either "How could he!!?" or "It's not him!"
When it comes to performance, the actors portraying the main characters did really good. Because of his charismatic appeal, Affleck is convincing enough to make viewers believe that he is really grieving for his wifey. On the other hand, Rosamund Pike gave astonishing acting. Her acting in 'Gone Girl' might just grab her a trophy in the coming Academy Awards. Pike fans should cross their fingers!
Worth mentioning also would be the acting abilities of Tyler Perry as Attorney Tanner Bolt, the laywer of Nick; Nick Patrick Harris as the ex-boyfriend of Amy; Carrie Coon as Margo the sister of Nick and Patrick Fugit as Detective Jim Gilpin. Some supporting awards may just be around the corner for these actors.
'The thriller film 'Gone Girl' is distributed by 20th Century Fox. Gillian Flynn wrote the screenplay as well as the book version.
"Gone Girl" is movie is for anyone who wants to see a breathtaking story and superb acting.
